Sarasin Bridge is well-known as the location of a legendary tragic love story between two young people, they decided to commit suicide by jumping into the water from the middle of Sarasin Bridge, tying themselves together with a white cloth, on February 22, 1973. Their story became widely famous and was later adapted into a film and a television drama, "Sarasin Bridge of Love."
