Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including:

• Account details, such as your name, username, email address, and profile information.
• Content you create or upload, such as places, tips, photos, stories, messages, and saved items.
• Communications with us, including support requests, safety reports, and feedback.
• Technical information, such as device type, browser type, IP address, app version, and log data.

How we use information

We use personal information to operate and improve Seek, including to:

• Provide discovery, search, social, messaging, profile, and account features.
• Personalize content, recommendations, saved places, and nearby experiences.
• Maintain safety, prevent abuse, investigate reports, and enforce our policies.
• Communicate with you about your account, product updates, support, and administrative notices.
• Analyze service performance, fix bugs, understand usage, and improve our website and app.
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.

Location information

Seek is built around travel discovery and nearby experiences, so some features may use location information. Depending on your settings and the feature you use, this may include approximate location, searched locations, selected map areas, or precise location when you choose to enable it.

You can control device location permissions through your browser or mobile device settings. Some nearby, map, or discovery features may not work as intended if location access is turned off.

Sharing

We may share information in the following circumstances:

• With other users when you publish profile details, posts, places, photos, stories, or other content.
• With service providers who help us host, operate, secure, analyze, and support Seek.
• With safety, law enforcement, or legal authorities when required by law or needed to protect rights and safety.
• As part of a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
• With your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of selling it for money.

When Seek displays Google Maps place content, Google may process information as described in the Google Privacy Policy.

App measurement and advertising

When enabled, the Seek mobile app uses AppsFlyer to measure installs, acquisition sources, app sessions, approved app actions, and uninstalls. Measurement may include device and app information, an AppsFlyer installation identifier, IP address, a Seek account identifier, and native push tokens for uninstall measurement. Content links may use AppsFlyer OneLink to open the intended content after installation.

Advertising measurement and personalized advertising are optional. On a new installation, choosing Allow in the iOS tracking prompt or the Android advertising dialog enables both. Choosing not to allow keeps both off. When enabled, approved app actions and permitted advertising identifiers may be shared through AppsFlyer with connected advertising partners, including Google and Meta, to measure and personalize Seek ads. Existing choices are preserved, and you can adjust measurement and personalization separately in Seek Settings. On iOS, advertising tracking also requires current App Tracking Transparency permission.

You can revise these choices or stop AppsFlyer measurement in Seek Settings on each device. Declining advertising choices keeps them off. Our event payloads exclude contact details, precise location, search text, messages, demographics, identity-verification data, and authentication tokens. AppsFlyer may still process technical information such as IP-derived approximate location as described in its Services Privacy Policy.

For access or deletion requests, contact hello@syndicate.ac. We handle relevant AppsFlyer data requests separately from deleting your Seek account records.

Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide Seek, maintain safety and security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods can vary depending on the type of information, user settings, legal requirements, and operational needs.

Your choices

You may have choices and rights over your personal information, including:

• Updating profile or account information through Seek where available.
• Changing browser, device, notification, cookie, and location settings.
• Deleting content or saved items where product controls are available.
• Requesting access, correction, deletion, or portability of personal information, depending on applicable law.

You can request account deletion through the account deletion flow or by contacting us at hello@syndicate.ac.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee complete security, so we encourage you to use a strong password, keep your account credentials private, and contact us if you believe your account or data has been compromised.

Children

Seek is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent is required. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Seek, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice when the changes are material or required by law.
